Waukesha Education Foundation to honor supporters
WAUKESHA — Waukesha Education Foundation, Inc. is recognizing some of the strongest partners of the School District of Waukesha. On Tuesday, the organization announced the three recipients of its annual WEF Community Partner Awards. Longtime SDW Board of Education member Barbara Brzenk is slated to be recognized, as well as community partners SPX Transformer Solutions and Culver’s (on Grandview Boulevard).

WAUKESHA — Waukesha Education Foundation, Inc. is recognizing some of the strongest partners of the School District of Waukesha.
On Tuesday, the organization announced the three recipients of its annual WEF Community Partner Awards.
Longtime SDW Board of Education member Barbara Brzenk is slated to be recognized, as well as community partners SPX Transformer Solutions and Culver’s (on Grandview Boulevard).
Brzenk will be the recipient of the 2019 Sally Jo Michalko Lifetime Excellence in Education Award.
Brzenk is being honored for her years of service to district as a kindergarten teacher, an administrator, and for her years of service on the school board. SPX Transformer Solutions, Inc. will be given the 2019 WEF Corporate Partner Award.
SPX was nominated for their involvement with the MADE (Manufacturing, Automotive, Design, Engineering) program which offers job shadowing experiences, tours, and workshops that provide industry exposure to students The 2019 WEF Community Partner Award is going to Kyle Soderstrom and Culver’s Restaurant.
The location has helped support SDW through several fundraising nights that provide 10% of sales to fund programs, clubs and events.
In 2018, $60,000 was donated to SDW by the location.
All three award recognitions will occur at the Evening for Education to be held at the Ingleside Hotel on Nov. 14, beginning at 5 p.m.
